| Historic / Central Truckee
Truckee, named for Washoe Indian Chief Trokay, was once a lawless lumber and railroad town. Much of its Old West charm remains such as 19th century false-front buildings, bars that have remained open since the gold rush, and a train that runs through the middle of town. In addition, this historic Commercial Row offers quaint boutiques, five star restaurants and a visitor's information center.
Whether you choose the old Victorian, or a charming mountain chalet, Historic/Central Truckee allows an easy drive to any of many ski areas, and any of the attractions that North Lake Tahoe has to offer.
Recent Prices: Lots: $269,900 - $525,000. Homes: $418,500 - $1,650,000.
