| Carnelian Bay
Carnelian Bay sits on the north shore halfway, between Tahoe City and Kings Beach. It is a beautiful community that combines woodsy with lakefront. It is the home of Sierra Boat Company which hosts the Lake Tahoe Yacht Club’s annual Wooden Boat Show. This is one of the world’s largest shows for these old Tahoe style boats. Next door to Sierra Boat Company is Garwood’s restaurant – named after such a boat. If you are into boats, this is a must see event held the same week as Hot August Nights every summer. Carnelian also has a very extensive miniature golf course and a very nice lakefront public park. Behind the subdivision is National Forest with many hiking, biking, snowmobiling and cross country skiing trails.
