Royal Gorge Dedication
On July 2nd hundreds of supporters including representatives of the Trust for Public Land and the Truckee Donner Land Trust celebrated the dedication of Royal Gorge, a world-renowned cross country ski area. A grass roots campaign raised $11.25 million to buy the historic property, preserve it for recreation, and prevent development. Nearly 1,400 people donated amounts between $5 and $1 million.
