Glenbrook

Glenbrook is located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe about 10 mi south of Incline Village, and about 12 mi north of South Lake Tahoe, California.

The Community of Glenbrook is a gated community of less than than 500 homes with a private beach, golf coupe  and bay.

The community is at an elevation of 6,250 feet (1,900 m) and was named after the Glenbrook House hotel. Glenbrook is the oldest settlement in Lake Tahoe and served as the main supplier of timber to the Comstock Lode and Virginia City. A rural lakeshore community with only 150 acres of its 750 total acres are developed offering homeowners serenity as well as unique recreational opportunities.

Many of the homeowners and their families have been in Glenbrook since the 1930s and have decided to allow only generational transfers of ownership within the family giving it a wonderful “Old Tahoe” feel even amongst the newer more luxury homes.
